I am interested in securing a long or short term position as a bassist anywhere in the USA or abroad.

My music career began as a saxophone player, which I played as I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music. I also learned bass guitar, and have been playing in bands for many years. I play both upright and electric bass equally well from sheet music or by ear. I have focused my efforts on playing bass in several capacities, and currently play in 2 orchestras, a wind ensemble, a jazz trio, and a rockabilly band. I have also served as a bassist in pit orchestras for many musicals. 

As my career profile illustrates, music has been my career for a long time, including teaching, directing, arranging, and performing. I served as a music teacher/band orchestra director for many years, and have directed musicals, marching band, guitar ensemble, and class piano. I am an excellent sight reader and follow the direction of a conductor very well.  

I am professional, responsible, reliable, efficient, and knowledgeable when it comes to performing and rehearsing. People comment on my preparedness, ability to catch on quickly, and musicality.
